trees are dying

i think it's funny that most of the people that are supporting that fight against chopping down the trees by the stadium are white.. not that i'm choosing a side on this issue or anything.. i just find it kinna funny..

haha.. cuz in my head, these are genuinely good natured white people that don't have anything else to fight for.. so they choose the environment..

so why do i do paa??..

paa is one of those organizations where it's not so clear cut to why people do it..

ok.. maybe it's a mistake to say that.. there are a couple big reasons why people participate in things like paa..

for example, we have pcn-ers.. people that don't really care about anything in the organization til spring semester.. and in my opinion, this is totally fine.. pcn is a great way to get introduced and involved in this organization.. it's a big reason why i'm in this organization and continues to be a big reason why i'm still doing it... HOWEVER, (and this really is a big however).. these same people must come to realize that paa is really a lot more than just pcn.. and moreover, pcn isn't the most important thing in the world!..

there are also those people that do pcn without actually caring about what pcn is about, only their particular part.. and that's not cool.. you shouldn't be using pcn to show off your dance moves.. you should be dancing to show off pcn.. that shit just gets be mad...

anyways, back to the paa discussion..
there are also people that do paa for the social aspect of it.. this is also how i got into this organization.. truth be told, i just wanted filipinos to hang out with in college, cuz that's what i did in high school and that was a comfort zone for me.. but the shit that gets to me is when this aspect is what runs all interest in this organization, like it becomes the ONLY reason that people do paa.. then other components get run over because it feels like this shit is all people really care about.. and that is why i feel sad and tired when i think of this organization and really many college organizations just like it... it is my opinion that sometimes, filipino college students get trapped into thinking that we're doing some positive shit by joining the pil org, when really, we're just kidding ourselves.. cuz nobody really wants to talk about sad issues that affect our people.. and everybody likes a good paarty..

so excuse for being mad..
i've thought long about this..

i really try to post things that i think will be interesting to read, besides "today i went to the store and saw somebody from 5th grade!"

but it's funny cuz i'll think in my head of something that i think will be a really good post, and then i write it and after i read it i'm like "man that sucks"... but whatevers.. i'm still fly..

i would like to get something off of my chest though..
regarding this whole thing with everybody pretending to be a basketball player and saying "ballin!".. man.. that shit is wack!... i'm not completely sure so correct me if i'm wrong, but i think it stems from the dave chappelle episode where he makes fun of mtv cribs... well i think that chappelle was actually making fun of celebrities for their outrageous extravagance.. like, pointing his finger and laughing at them.. which is funny, cuz friggin jim jones goes and releases his song, and then uses the chappelle gesture to promote it, when, in my mind, chappelle was actually making fun of rappers EXACTLY LIKE JIM JONES...

well i think that we as people live our whole lives on one simple concept..
and that concept is that we all strive for one thing..
and that thing is that we all try to live and make the least mistakes as possible..

THAT'S IT!..

think about it..
that's what were taught as little children and it carries on til forever..
don't make mistakes in school and you'll succeed...
don't make mistakes on your interview and you can get any job..

i know it's very general.. but it's also specific too.. because it doesn't focus on learning or even performing well or even succeeding.. just not messing up..

okies.. maybe it's extremely general, but you can't expect me to explain the purpose of all humans with just one sentence..
